Meet Pig Farmers Dave and Jodi!

Dave and Jodi along with their three sons; Hunter, Timber, and Ryder are very proud of their northern Wisconsin farm and their grass fed pastured pigs. Growing up on a farm means that everyone has chores and helps with everyday things.  Their three boys have been given chores since a young age and understand responsibility and have a fantastic work ethic. There is plenty of room for them to run and play and they are being raised in the best environment. “We love to be outside playing, hanging out, and taking care of our farm. We never want to be inside, so why would our animals!”

Dave and Jodi fully appreciate the benefits of raising grass fed pigs to the land and to the families that get to eat the tasty and natural meat. They raise all of their pigs outside on pasture with no confinement.  Chemical substances and antibiotics are never given to their animals.

They boast that their pastured pigs are “true grazing pigs” that enjoy eating both grass as well as alfalfa/grass hay.  Some pork farmers put a trough on a pasture and call the pigs “grass fed.” That is not the case with their pigs, which are hand fed one pound of grain each day to help supplement necessary minerals. The lions share of their diet is native grasses, clovers, alfalfa, and barley sprouted fodder.  They are proud of the fact that “because our pigs eat primarily grass the meat is a darker red color that is loaded with sweet flavor as well as nutritional value.”
