Our honestly grown beef and pork are raised on wide open pastures by farmers who care about their land, their animals and the food that your family enjoys.

The Grass Fed Cattle Co takes the quality and quaintness of a small farm purchase and translates it to modern times by offering a simple online ordering process and a quick and convenient pick up location in Minneapolis. 

We sell our 100% grass fed beef and pastured pork in small and large quantities, offering a little something for everyone. We offer a unique Cow Pooling opportunity where friends, family and neighbors can band together to purchase a whole steer at an irresistible price. We look forward to offering other healthy proteins to our customers in the near future, allowing for Grass Fed Cattle Co to be a “one stop shop” for the tastiest local, humanely raised and thoughtfully harvested meats in the Twin Cities.  


Meet the farmers

 

PIG Farmers Dave and Jodi

Dave and Jodi along with their three sons; Hunter, Timber, and Ryder are very proud of their northern Wisconsin farm and their grass fed, pastured pigs. They raise all their pigs outside on pasture with no confinement.

They boast that their pastured pigs are "true grazing pigs" that enjoy eating both grass as well as alfalfa/grass hay. Some pork farmers put a trough on a pasture and call the pigs "grass fed." That is not the case with their pigs, which are hand fed one pound of grain each day to help supplement necessary minerals. The lion’s share of their diet is native grasses, clovers, alfalfa, and barley sprouted fodder.


BEEF & CHICKEN Farmers Jon, Terri, Jared and Valerie

Jon and Terri and Jared and Valerie farm together in the rolling hills of Goodhue County. Their focus on pasture-based farming systems started when Jon worked for 8 months on a grazing dairy in New Zealand. Now they care for a herd of registered Red Angus and Hereford cattle and love the time they get to spend out in the pasture with the cattle.

Their family has been farming for many generations and one of their primary goals has always been to leave the land in better condition than how they received it. They believe grazing is an integral part of reaching their goals and they hope their focus on regenerating the land will allow the farm to continue for many generations!


BEEF Farmers Chuck and Joan

Chuck and Joan have been dairy farming most of their lives together. They have four wonderful children who will tell you how glad they are that they were able to live and work on the farm. After moving their youngest daughter to college, Chuck and Joan decided that their days of dairy farming were complete and began cross breeding Hereford and Black Angus breeds of beef cattle. Their delightful farm is located near Hudson, Wisconsin and has 200 acres of rolling land mixed with pasture and stands of wood.

Their pasture and hay is a mixture of grass, clover and alfalfa. Chuck and Joan have not fed their cattle any corn or grain, and are very proud of the 100% grass fed beef that they produce. The beef is very lean, tender, and delicious. They are very proud to be able to farm their land and produce good and healthy beef for themselves and others to enjoy.
