Our Newest Addition!

We have a very exciting new addition to the farm and this time it isn’t a calf, chick or plant in our pasture - it’s our first baby! Our son Colton was born at the end of June and life has been a wonderful whirlwind since!

Summer is always a busy time on the farm. We are moving cattle to new pasture multiple times a day, raising chickens, attending farm field days to continue learning, making hay (for winter feed) and doing all the typical summer things, like spending time with family!

We are so excited to raise Colton on the farm where he can enjoy nature, explore and learn to respect the land and livestock as Jared and I did growing up. It feels like he’ll be out moving cows with us in no time - time is flying by!

Whether Colton (or other children we hope to have someday) decide to farm or choose a different career, we want to make sure our farm is sustainable for another generation. In fact, it's one of our three goals for our farm and family!

Our farm mission is based around three primary goals:

To leave the land in better condition than how we received it by using regenerative practices that build the soil and to share what we learn with other farmers so they can improve their farms.

To produce high quality, nutrient dense food for customers and connect our customers to the farm where their food is produced.

To build a resilient farm business that is capable of providing for any family member who wishes to be a part of it.

If our children decide to pursue other goals, we'd be happy to pass down the farm to another young person who has a passion for caring for the soil, livestock and land using regenerative practices as we do. We hope whoever is next brings their own ideas, connections and dreams to the farm!

We also wanted to take a moment and say thank you for your continued support, business and patience as we've navigated our way through becoming parents! What a joy and big change it has been. We know there are lots of places you could choose to buy meat and we are so thankful you choose to support our family and farm.
